Clean Water Supply
Clean Water Supply
Introduction
Clean water is the foundation of health and economic development, but for many, it remains a luxury out of reach. This project focuses on digging wells, installing solar-powered pumps, and building filtration systems to ensure that families no longer have to drink contaminated water or walk miles to find a source.
Challenge
Geological limitations often make it difficult to find stable aquifers, and the maintenance of mechanical parts in harsh environments remains a constant hurdle. Without local training, infrastructure can quickly fall into disrepair, leaving the community back where they started.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Whoever digs a well will receive reward from Allah on the Day of Judgment when anyone from amongst the jinn, mankind, or even birds drink from it." Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah
Problem
Water-borne diseases are among the leading causes of death for children under five, largely due to the consumption of stagnant or polluted water. In many rural areas, women and children spend hours every day fetching water, a physical burden that prevents them from attending school or pursuing income-generating activities. This "water poverty" traps entire communities in a cycle of illness and lost economic opportunity.
Potential Solution
We aim to install deep-tube wells and community-managed filtration units that are built to last decades. We also provide "WASH" (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) training to local residents, empowering them to maintain the equipment and practice safe hygiene. By decentralizing water access, we return time to families and health to the community.
