Challenge

Challenge

In Yemen, the tradition of Qurbani faces a devastating economic barrier. With the collapse of the local currency and the destruction of livestock supply chains, the price of a single sheep or goat often exceeds a worker's multi-month salary. For the millions of families living in displacement camps or war-torn neighborhoods, the "Eid feast" has become a distant memory. The challenge is not just the lack of meat, but the loss of the joy and dignity that Eid-ul-Adha is supposed to bring to every Muslim household, regardless of their financial standing.

Problem

Problem

Protein deficiency and acute malnutrition are rampant across Yemen, particularly among children and nursing mothers. Meat is the most expensive food group in the country, making it the first thing families cut from their diets. Without the ritual of Qurbani, hundreds of thousands of children would spend their Eid hungry, watching a day of celebration pass them by without a single special meal.
